ur firewall might blocking access to ur browser. try shutting ur firewall and then try. if that doesn’t work there is a problem with ur connection so contact the connection provider.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox and see if you have the same problem there.

Download a antivirus program. If you don’t have it.

AVG and Avast has some free ones. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-virus-cleaner.html

There are more free antivirus programs out there. What’s the best of them I don’t know, but Avast and AVG are good.

I use Norton Internet Security.

Also try scanning with some antivirus online scanner like http://www.bitdefender.com/ and a security/antivirus scanner like http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=QVLBZTVOGXFSTZHSZPW&bhcp=1

Some other way is booting in safe mod with network. Go to Start – Run – type “iexplore http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html ” (with out “”) – Enter(ok)

Do a full system scan. If something is found, delete it, reboot and do the same again.

When that scan does not find anything you reboot again in safe mode with network. Go to Start – Run – type “iexplore http://www.ewido.com/en “ (with out “”) – Enter (ok) Do a full scan. If you find something, delete it, reboot and do the same again.

When no one this scanners are showing anything your computer is clean and you car reboot to normal mode.

You also need a firewall. If you don’t have one that is. ZoneAlarm has a free one.

Disable Windows firewall if it’s not disabled automatically. That is if you download another firewall.

Also have some spyware/adware removers like Ad Aware SE Personal and Spybot-S&D.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

( Download Ad Aware here http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html )

AVG also have a free anti spyware. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

You can also scan with a online anti-spyware scanner like Ewido anti-spyware. http://www.ewido.net/en/

Ewido anti-spyware 4.0 is now AVG anti-spyware 7.5.

When you have cleaned your system, disable System Restore, reboot and then re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point.

*Note: Have only one antivirus program and one firewall installed on you computer. Adware/spyware removers are ok to have more of.
