Query from Ich bin hungrig: What does “sync with server”Mean on PS3?
My house was broken into a few days ago, and they took a bunch of electronic devices from our house, including my ps3. I will be buying a brand new PS3 next week, but i was wondering if i sign into my PSN account if my trophies will still be on my account. I remember seeing a trophy “Sync with Server” option but could i still sync it when my other one got stolen?

All you need to do is sign into your online account on your new PS3. Then, when you put a game disc into the PS3, the trophies for that game will return to your account. NOTE: The trophies for all your games will not automatically appear. Again, you will have to put the disc into the PS3 in order to get the trophies back that you earned for that game.
“Sync with server” basically means that your trophies will sync with Sony’s server and will be saved on Sony’s server. However, this process occurs automatically, so all your trophies should be saved on Sony’s server. Pressing “sync with server’ just allows you to sync your trophies manually if you do not feel like waiting for your trophies to sync automatically. So, again, just follow the steps above to get your trophies back.
Hope this helps!
