Netgear router works perfectly, but something different that it is connected, but not doing anything?

Main issue created by Freeze: Netgear router works perfectly some days, but others it says it’s connected but does nothing?

I have a Netgear router and some days it’s fine, but others it says it’s connected but doesn’t work. Windows diagnosed it as follows: “Cannot communicate with DNS server”

What can I do to fix it so it works all the time?

If router is old that might just it…old. Also check your network settings to make sure you are receiving an ip address automatically. Should be in control panel> network settings>double click your network card icon> scroll down until u see tcp/ip (should be the last one)> the click the second tab & there it should tell u your settings. Make sure both boxes are checked & all text boxes are greyed out.

Acknowledge far better?
