Hi, i just made my first steam purchase the other day. it was none other than the classic Star Wars Battlefront 2. after it installed, i went to go play it and an error message popped up. it said “failed to contact key server” i looked into that issue and came to the conclusion that they were lacking keys for the game (why would you sell that game in the first place?) and they would get them soon. there are a few others that bought the game the same day. Does anyone have a speculation as to how long it would take to receive a key? i bought the game on Saturday.

Did you read this? It is a list of possibilities to what gives this error. While not having a key is one, it is not the only one. What makes you so certain it’s because you don’t have a key? If you are just guessing, then my suggestion is to contact Support (their link is on the right side of this page) and tell them what is going on and ask for help so you can get to the bottom of this.
